Ford Tough – A Truck Built for the Northwest

What it means to be tough in Washington.
Yesterday’s meaning of tough — heavy strength — has changed forever with high-strength, military-grade, aluminum alloy replacing conventional steel in the cab/bed of the stronger yet lighter Ford F-150. Not aluminum in the household sense, but heat-treated and hardened aluminum alloy — the same high-grade 6000-series used in big military and industrial applications. This bold concept took shape with advanced computer-aided design technology, followed by F-150 prototypes subjected to over 10 million cumulative miles of torturous testing on Ford proving grounds and in real world jobs.
Military Grade, Aluminum Alloy Body
Doing something the right way often results in multiple benefits. Case in point: going from steel to high-strength, military-grade, aluminum alloys in the F-150 cab and bed. Hardening aluminum alloy through heat-treating produces greater strength. Working with aluminum alloy also allows engineers to increase gauge (or thickness) where needed to achieve extra strength without increasing weight. The stronger F-150 weighs up to 700 lbs. less than the previous generation, resulting in greater power-to-weight ratio, enhanced fuel efficiency, plus higher maximum payload and tow ratings that are best in class.* Yet another benefit — resistance to dents and corrosion.
Off Road Your F-150 in Washington State
Shifting into four-wheel drive is as easy as turning a dial with the electronic shift-on-thefly (ESOF) system. ESOF lets you choose two 4-wheel-drive modes (4×4 low or high) as well as 2-wheel drive. LARIAT, King Ranch®, Limited, Platinum and Raptor models also include automatic 4WD mode. The FX4 Off-Road Package includes electronic-locking rear differential (locks the rear axle completely for enhanced traction at both wheels), Hill Descent Control™ , off-road tuned shock absorbers, skid plates, and “FX4 Off-Road” decal. Plus, the available 360-degree camera with split-view display is helpful when you’re maneuvering in tight spaces and on off-road trails.

2018 Ford F-150 Engine Options

Ford F150 EnginesFord engineers work to make the F-150 pickup better every year and push the competition to try to keep up on the performance front. There are five engine choices, naturally aspirated and turbocharged, including the awesome high-output 3.5L EcoBoost® in the Baja-bred F-150 Raptor. Auto Start-Stop Technology is on all engines. And more engines feature the segment-exclusive* 10-speed automatic. Even bigger F-150 news coming down the road is the new 3.0L Power Stroke® Turbo Diesel (available spring 2018) built for severe-duty service, performance and durability.

3.5L Ecoboost Engine®
Not satisfied with the high power ratings of their 3.5L EcoBoost® , Ford engineers designed the second generation of this potent EcoBoost with even higher ratings of 375 horsepower and best-in-class* 470 lb.-ft. of torque, beating out all gas and diesel competitors. This engine delivers the F-150 max best-in-class* tow rating too. Big improvements: Fordfirst port fuel and direct injection (PFDI) with two injectors per cylinder—one in the air intake port and another inside the cylinder—to improve power and efficiency. All-new twin turbos for greater on-demand power. A more responsible plus high-end-efficient 10-speed transmission.
2.7L Ecoboost Engine®
How does the 2.7L EcoBoost® V6 deliver impressive robust performance and capability?* The answer: features like Ford-first port fuel and direct injection (PFDI) with two injectors per cylinder (one in the air intake port, another inside the cylinder), plus upper block and cylinders made of the high-strength compacted graphite iron used in the Super Duty® 6.7L Power Stroke® Turbo Diesel. And as for strength, the 2.7L EcoBoost powered an aluminum-alloy body F-150 prototype that competed in the 2013 Baja 1000, finishing the race with needing just an air filter replacement. Afterwards, engineers drove that street-legal F-150 back to Michigan.
NEW 3.3L TI-VCT V6 Engine
With responsive power and capability,* the new 3.3L Ti-VCT V6 can handle the demands of everyday jobs. The twin independent variable cam timing (Ti-VCT) opens/closes the valves in precise duration to suit operating conditions, so power output is optimized at every point across the performance band. The 3.3L also has the Ford-first port fuel and direct-injection system (PFDI): two injectors per cylinder, one mounted in the air intake port and another positioned inside the cylinder. The 6-speed automatic transmisssion has three selectable modes to suit the driving condition: Normal, Tow-Haul, and Sport.
5.0L TI-VCT V8
This legendary Ford V8 delivers even more muscle than ever and delivers best-in-class* payload. Experience robust 395 horsepower and 400 lb.-ft. of torque, thanks to twin independent variable cam timing (Ti-VCT) and new direct injection (DI). Ti-VCT optimizes performance across the entire power band to match driving conditions. DI injects gas at high pressure directly and precisely into each cylinder, extracting as much power as possible from every drop of fuel. The 5.0L offers a CNG/Propane Gaseous Engine Prep Package for conversion to compressed natural gas (CNG) or propane autogas.** A Snow Plow Prep Package is also available.

2018 Ford F-150 Raptor

2018 Ford F150 Raptor
While dinosaurs may have once ruled the lands in Washington State, the all new F150 Raptor has taken it’s place. The F-150 Raptor can take on the most unforgiving terrain a truck can set its tires on. That includes the backwoods in the Cascade mountains or the Olympic National Forest. Today’s leaner, meaner Raptor is nearly 500 lbs. lighter than the previous generation with its high-strength, military-grade, aluminum-alloy body plus high-strength steel frame. Power is supplied by a twin-turbo, dual-direct and port fuel-injected 3.5L EcoBoost® with 10-speed automatic delivering a massive 450 horsepower and 510 lb.-ft. of torque. Extreme off-road capability comes courtesy of features such as the Torque-On-Demand® transfer case and FOX Racing Shox™. For a conventional 4-wheeler, off-roading like this is off limits. For the Raptor, it’s a routine day of play.

Raptor DOHC 24-valve, high-output 3.5L Ecoboost® Engine
The Baja-bred F-150 Raptor is perfectly at home on a typical paved road. But going from mild to wild on the most unforgiving terrain – now we’re in territory where the Raptor excels with its extraordinary capability, beginning with raw power. Unique to the Raptor is a twin-turbo, intercooled DOHC 24-valve, 3.5L EcoBoost® with port fuel and direct-injection system and 10-speed automatic. This high-output EcoBoost generates more power than the previous 6.2L V8 – a massive 450 horsepower and 510 lb.-ft. of torque.

I came in for a routine oil and lub. Job done perfectly, and on time. They found and fixed a couple of small minor things and fixed them without even being asked Small things, but they made a big impression on me, Thanks Evergreen Ford Service Department!

I purchased a new 2015 Ford F-150. Initially, I was hesitant about the purchase, however, after talking to and eventually working with Ken Galimanis, his work and effort exceeded my expectations of him. I believe that the deal we ultimately made was fair and as a result of Ken's efforts, I chose to purchase thousands of dollars of additional accessories from your dealership that I would not otherwise have chosen to. I am a repeat customer of Evergreen Ford and will likely continue to use your Dealership for Service as a result of Ken, instead of going to closer more convenient Ford Dealerships. I value the work ethic Ken demonstrated and provided and will refer others directly to him.

Andrew and Ashley both did a great job ensuring we found the truck that was right for us. I did a test drive of an F-350 with Ashley then came back a couple weeks later and test drove the F-150 with Andrew. We decided to sell our 5th wheel RV so that drove our decision to buy the F-150 vs the F-350. Both were very knowledgable about the trucks and what I really liked is they didn't guess if I asked a question they didn't know. They simply said "I don't know, let me find out". Both were very friendly and not pushy. I knew to expect this with Andrew as I bought a new Fusion from him back in August. I will definitely give your dealership first crack on any future purchases.
